Why Bpi exists
Over the past five years, breakaway roping has become the fastest-growing discipline in western sports. Yet in most ropings, intermediate and beginner ropers are still forced to compete against elite open-level athletes—limiting fair opportunity, reducing meaningful competition, and discouraging the continued growth of the sport.

Today, roughly 10% of breakaway ropers win 90% of payouts. Considering the significant costs of trucks, trailers, and horses, breakaway roping is already a major financial commitment, making it unsustainable for beginner and intermediate ropers to continually fund payouts for the professional level.
